•Specialised packing, air freight, customs clearance, and white-glove delivery
•Reassembly and removal of packing on-site

Challenges:
•Handling and protecting a precious, delicate glass sculpture •Inadequate initial wrapping not suitable for the item's value and fragility •Ensuring smooth customs clearance and precise reassembly

Solution:
•Recommended and executed enhanced packing to safeguard the palm tree
•Provided premium white-glove delivery and installation services •Coordinated with our global customs broker for efficient clearance and timely delivery

Outcome:
•The Liberty Murano Vintage palm tree arrived in perfect condition •Client was delighted with the seamless service and meticulous handling

We recently handled a complex project transporting seven steel cable reels from Worksop, UK, to Xiamen, China, using the new Bahri Europe service. 📦

Cargo:
•Seven steel cable reels, weighing from 952 kg to 84,822 kg

Scope:
•UK road freight, heavy lift cranes, inland river barge and sea freight transportation
•Alternative solutions with no delays or extra costs to the customer

Challenges:
•Transporting seven heavy, oversized reels 6,000 miles
•Last-minute change from the original shipping line required a quick alternative

Solution:
• Secured permits and equipment early
• Oversaw initial loading and transport to Immingham
• Used existing crane and barge booking to ship from Antwerp via Bahri service
• Ensured on-time, on-budget delivery

Outcome:
• All reels safely loaded and shipped
• Expected arrival in Shanghai, then onward to Xiamen for door-to-door delivery

🚛🔧 A Look Back: Ford Dagenham Factory Relocation 🚧🌍

Transporting various engine tooling equipment and 600 containers of parts from Dagenham, UK to Bayuquan, China was no small feat.

 Over six months, we meticulously dismantled, packed and shipped the iconic Ford Motor plant, including its Stamping and Tooling Production press.

Collaborating closely with Ford management, dismantlers, packers and hauliers, we ensured the safe transport of all equipment and components.

This factory, with decades of history, faced challenges like corrosive liquids in old machines. Yet, our team handled it all with precision and care.

Outcome: Successfully moving the entire plant, including 600 containers of components, to China to begin its new life-producing tractors was a proud moment for us. All cargo shipped on a single vessel, marking a significant achievement in logistics.

Reflecting on this past project, we are reminded of our capability and dedication to overcoming complex challenges. 🌟

After many years of dedicated service, Heathrow’s own Peter Beckitt has decided to retire.

Peter has been with Allseas since June 2022 but has been working alongside Scott and Steve for over two decades. 

Peter’s loyalty, hard work and commitment have greatly contributed to our department’s success. Peter will be greatly missed at Allseas, both down South and throughout the business.

However, this is not a final goodbye. Peter plans to remain on standby post-retirement, ready to lend his expertise whenever needed.
