We developed SolShare™ to bridge this gap. SolShare enables solar for apartments by sharing energy from a single rooftop solar system between multiple dwellings within the same building.

It’s incredible to see the uptake of Solar Victoria's Solar for Apartments grant 👏🏼 Hundreds of applications have already been approved and will be utilising our solar sharing technology, SolShare 🌞

Minister Lily D’Ambrosio visited Northcote to see the first apartment building benefiting from the $16 million initiative. The owners corporation received $39,200 in funding, connecting 14 apartments up to clean, affordable energy, saving up to $500 annually!

“We are helping Victorians living in apartments take control of their energy bills with cheap, renewable energy,” says Minister D’Ambrosio.

Applications for round two open in August 2024, and we're excited to be supporting even more Victorian apartments unlock shared solar.

Congratulations to Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities for winning the Community and Affordable Housing Property Award 👏 The Riccarton Road project, featuring 20 apartments, is the first in New Zealand to install our SolShare technology, enabling it to meet an 8 Homestar V4.1 rating. 

"This development has set a benchmark for social support housing. The comfort and quality it provides for residents is extremely meaningful,” said Leonie Freeman, Property Council New Zealand chief executive. “The Riccarton Road project exceeds suitability for purpose on almost every level and is an exemplary project for modern social housing.”

SolShare unlocks solar power for every unit, reducing residents' energy bills by $350-$400 annually.
