Amarc Resources Ltd. engages in the acquisition, exploration, and development of mineral properties in Canada. The company explores for copper, gold, silver, and molybdenum deposits. It holds 100% interest in the IKE project covering an area of 462 square kilometers located in the Gold Bridge, south-central British Columbia; the DUKE project covering an area of 704 square kilometers located northeast of Smithers, central British Columbia; and the JOY project covering an area of 482 square kilometers located in the Toodoggone region of north-central British Columbia. The company was formerly known as Patriot Resources Ltd. and changed its name to Amarc Resources Ltd. in January 1994. The company was incorporated in 1993 and is based in Vancouver, Canada.

The JOY District, located within BC’s Golden Horseshoe region, hosts the PINE Cu-Au deposit, the MEX Cu-Au deposit target and a pipeline of high-quality drill-ready Cu-Au porphyry targets. Amarc is currently working with partner Freeport to further develop this district. 

The IKE District is proximal to the heartland of Canada’s Cu production at the Valley, New Afton and Gibraltar mines. The district hosts the IKE Cu-Mo-Ag Deposit, the Empress Cu-Au-Ag Deposit, and a high potential pipeline of Cu-Au±Mo±Ag targets. 

The DUKE District hosts the DUKE Cu-Mo-Ag±Au Deposit and a pipeline of Cu±Au targets. The district is within the Babine Region, one of BC’s most prolific porphyry Cu-Au belts.

Amarc Resources Ltd. (TSXV: AHR.V, OTC: AXREF) announces the continuation of earn-in agreement (EIA) with partner Freeport McMoRan Mineral Properties Canada Inc. (Freeport) within Amarc’s JOY Copper-Gold District. The JOY District is located within north-central British Columbia’s Toodoggone region and is part of the Golden Horseshoe. 

In 2021, Freeport invested $5.94 million into the JOY. The investment is part of two-stage option whereby Freeport can earn up to a 70% ownership in the JOY District, plus other rights and interests, over up to a 10 year period, by spending a total of $110 million. 

Amarc President & CEO Dr. Diane Nicolson acknowledges the important contributions made by the Tsay Keh Dene, Kwadacha, Takla and Tahltan Nations, over the course of the ambitious 2021 exploration season, as well as by local government and on-site contractors. 

Results from 2021’s exploration program will be released as they come available.
