AMIRI announces the opening of its new retail space in Delhi’s The Chanakya, marking AMIRI’s first store in India. AMIRI’s expansion into India underscores the brand’s commitment to bringing its signature American West Coast spirit to global markets. Designed by Creative Director Mike Amiri, the store echoes AMIRI’s design ethos and identity: with an ‘open gallery’ retail design spanning 1,154 square feet, the interior reflects a Californian aesthetic, with wave-patterned walls, textured paint finishes and hand-tufted ocean-blue carpet. Warm textures of polished wood and velvet are further complemented with an onyx coffee table, installed fixtures, and a travertine entry table - designs distinctly connected to the Hollywood lifestyle. AMIRI announces the opening of Daimaru Shinsaibashi - the brand’s second store location in Japan and fourth in Asia, in the Daimaru department store, Osaka. Inspired by the signature AMIRI flagship retail concept debuted at AMIRI Rodeo Drive, with design led by brand Creative Director Mike Amiri, the store reflects AMIRI’s inherent California sensibility and aesthetic identity. Travertine stone flooring, custom textured plaster walls and white oak furniture evoke AMIRI's laid-back, luxurious ambiance. Custom-designed interiors with velvet fabrics and onyx as shelves and side tables feature, alongside hand-woven checkerboard rugs. Reflecting the concept of each AMIRI store as a unique ‘open gallery’, curated by Mike Amiri and championing art and artisans, the AMIRI Daimaru Shinsaibashi store showcases a custom wood wall piece by contemporary artist Oksana Schön. This new pop-up location complements the brand’s existing flagships in Shanghai and Nanjing, further extending AMIRI’s retail touchpoints in the region. Designed by Creative Director Mike Amiri, the store interior features accents in plain sawn white oak, reflecting the brand’s ‘open gallery’ retail design. Inspired by mid-century iconography, the space integrates the Autumn-Winter 2024 collection’s color palette and MA Quad monogram on walls and carpets. Washed finishes and muted tones connect the space to its surroundings, honoring AMIRI’s Californian roots.
