Apeiron’s Indonesia team, in collaboration with the Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI), embarked on the exciting SENYUM (Sedekah Minyak Jelantah) Go to School Program to educate and engage students about the importance of recycling used cooking oil ♻️.

Following the launch event on July 6, we kicked off a series of school visits across Tangerang City, including elementary, junior high, and high schools.
Starting at Karya Agung High School and Taman Sukarya 1 Elementary School, we collected a total of 429 kg of used cooking oil! 

We're excited to continue this journey and positively impact the community and environment!

We've made great progress in our ongoing community used cooking oil (#UCO) recycling initiative, "The Oil Cycle," over the past month 🎉.

Since being featured in TODAY , we've made significant strides in improving our recycling efforts. Despite initial challenges, we're proud to report a substantial reduction in contamination and the highest volume of UCO seen in the community since the program began.

Key milestones include:
📍 Reduced contamination rates at our busiest recycling point.
📍 New UCO recycling points were established at a community kitchen and Far Eastern Bible College.

A huge thank you to our community partners and town councils for their support and collaboration. Together, we’re positively impacting the environment and promoting sustainable practices.
