Our primary focus is on two orphan diseases:  the life-threatening cardiac disease Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia (CPVT), and the severe muscle disease RYR1-Related Myopathy (RYR1-RM). These two conditions occur due to genetic mutations in the RYR gene: RYR1 in RYR1-RM, and RYR2 in most CPVT cases. 

ARMGO’s molecules, termed Rycals® are designed to repair leaky RyR channels. Since the cause of the symptoms is abnormal calcium leak due to these mutations, Rycals hold the promise of disease-modifying therapy for these two orphan genetic diseases.

We are excited to be here in Basel, Switzerland, for the second day of the Sachs 23rd Annual Biotech in Europe Forum.

Yesterday, ARMGO’s Vice President of Business Development, Hermann-Josef Kaiser, took part in a panel alongside #industry experts from EQT Life Science, Cardior Pharmaceuticals GmbH, Neurimmune AG and Bayer AG. The session, ‘The Heart is in Again – Are We Seeing a Renaissance of Cardiovascular & Cardiometabolic Panel’ provided critical insight into the latest wave of innovations and regulatory challenges to develop new therapeutics for #heartdisease.

In a separate session Hermann also presented ARMGO’s novel small molecule therapeutics, Rycals, as well as an update on the #phase2 #clinicaltrial to treat the life threatening #arrhythmia, Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia (#CPVT).
