One of my absolute favorite things about venture tech is the diversity aspect.  Most of our Founders are women, immigrants, people from all our the world.  Hearing their personal stories is always so damned inspirational, it makes me feel not only humble but just blown away by what they go through to get here and then start important companies. Founders become CEO’s when they learn to develop people, vs expect them to show up in an early stage, resource constrained environment and hit home runs on day one.   The turnover rates in seed to B co’s are just ridiculous because you have the blind leading the blind.  You know a great Founder when they choose well and a truly great one when they take a capable exec and help them turn into a star.  Or pluck someone from the younger ranks and develop them into a core player.  Don’t be the lazy or clueless Founder who shoots execs the minute they realize they don’t wear a red cape or shoot lasers from their eyeballs.  YOU CAN DO BETTER.  And you must…
