Fastmarkets, an Astorg portfolio company, has completed the acquisition of Hardwood Market Report, a 101-year-old US-based price reporting agency focused on North American hardwood.

IQ-EQ, an Astorg portfolio company, is pleased to announce the expansion of its regulatory compliance business in Asia with the strategic acquisitions of Lymon and ComplianceAsia. These transactions make IQ-EQ the leading independent Regulatory Compliance business in Asia and the only fully global Regulatory Compliance service provider, complementing the Group’s established regulatory compliance operations in the U.K and U.S.

The newly combined team of 101 FTE will operate across the Asia Pacific region servicing their combined international client base of asset managers, hedge fund managers, private equity and venture fund managers, real estate firms, family offices, broker-dealers, insurers, wealth managers and investment banks.

Last week, Astorg had the pleasure of welcoming CFOs from our portfolio companies to share their knowledge, experiences, and best industry practices at our annual CFO Forum, hosted in London.

The forum consisted of open working sessions on operational effectiveness, ESG, the strategic aspects of the finance function, and the implementation of new technologies across our portfolio companies. We enjoyed welcoming our CFOs, building and strengthening relationships, and developing strategies for the year ahead.

Astorg is delighted to confirm the completion of the demerger of Fastmarkets, a leading global cross-commodity price reporting agency (PRA) serving the metals, mining, forest products, energy transition and agriculture markets, from Delinian, formerly Euromoney. 

Fastmarkets will operate as a stand-alone entity, owned and controlled by Astorg, with the remaining Delinian business operating under the majority ownership and control of Epiris. The demerger will enable Fastmarkets to pursue their ambitious growth plans as an independent business and we are excited to support Fastmarkets in this next phase of growth.

Astorg is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement to acquire a majority stake in hg medical GmbH & USA from NORD Holding UBG mbH. hg medical is a leading global manufacturer of complex orthopaedic implants focused on extremities. Astorg will support management’s plans to further accelerate hg medical’s development, both organically and through acquisitions. 

Representing Astorg Mid-Cap’s first investment in DACH and its second investment in healthcare, hg medical will benefit from Astorg’s experience in CDMO and its broader MedTech ecosystem.

Astorg and LAFO - The Luxembourg Association of Family Offices welcomed selected guests to an event dedicated to discussing the path of private equity in uncertain times, and how GPs can invest wisely. This first co-organised event by Astorg and LAFO was anchored by a keynote speech by our Managing Partner Francois de Mitry.
