Edwards Vacuum Invests $319 Million in New Manufacturing Facility

Edwards Vacuum, a subsidiary of Atlas Copco, has announced a significant investment of $319 million to establish a dry pump manufacturing facility in Genesee County, New York. This initiative is expected to create 600 well-paying jobs and is part of a broader strategy to position Upstate New York as a global hub for the semiconductor industry. The investment aligns with New York's Green CHIPS legislation and the federal CHIPS and Science Act, which aim to boost semiconductor manufacturing in the state.
