Avasar Equity Diversified Fund (Fund), Nepal’s first domestic Private Equity Fund registered with Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), under the Specialized Investment Fund Regulation, 2019, has invested in Rara Digital Lab Private Limited (Rara or the Company). Rara is a boutique software design and development company based in Lalitpur, Nepal. The Company, alongwith its subsidiary companies, BIC Technology Private Limited, Gokyo Labs Private Limited and Neosys Technology Private Limited, provides software based product and solutions to its clients in Nepal and abroad for managing their financial transactions. Rara, alongwith its subsidiary companies, has developed and launched various products like:- Sumo Ledger - a high volume, real time transaction management system for Banks and Financial Institutions, Remittance and Fintech Companies Tigg - a cloud-based accounting software primarily for Small and Medium Enterprises (SME). Gokyo Reconciler – a financial transaction reconciliation software primarily for Banks and Financial Institutions, Fintech Companies, and Insurance Companies. Avasar Equity Diversified Fund invests in Mewa Developers Limited. Avasar Equity Diversified Fund (the “Fund”), Nepal’s first domestic Private Equity Fund registered with Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) under the Specialized Investment Fund Regulation, 2019, has invested in Mewa Developers Limited (“MDL”). MDL is developing two Peaking Run-of-River hydropower projects, namely Middle Mewa Hydropower Project – 73.5 MW with six hours peaking and Siwa Khola Hydropower Project – 9.3 MW with one hour peaking in Mikhwakhola and Merigden Rural Municipality of Taplejung District. The Power Purchase Agreement for both the projects has been concluded on a take-or-pay basis. The projects are expected to generate combined total energy of approximately 490.72 GWh per year and power generated from the project shall be connected to the national grid through the NEA’s Dhungesaghu/Hangpang Substation. Middle Mewa Hydropower Project has achieved approximately 70% progress as of date and the project is expected to be completed within the current fiscal year while Siwa Khola Hydropower Project is in the early stages of construction. The Fund’s investment shall facilitate timely completion of the projects and contribute towards achieving Nepal’s commitment to clean energy.

Avasar Equity Diversified Fund invests in Vision Energy and Power Limited. Avasar Equity Diversified Fund (the “Fund”), Nepal’s first domestic Private Equity Fund registered with Securities Exchange Board of Nepal (SEBON) under the Specialized Investment Fund Regulation, 2019, has invested in Vision Energy and Power Limited (“VEPL”). VEPL is developing a Run-of-River hydropower project, namely Nupche Likhu Hydropower Project (57.5 MW) in Umakanda Rural Municipality of Ramechhap District. The Power Purchase Agreement for the project has been concluded on a take-or-pay basis. The project is expected to generate total energy approximately 381.74 GWh per year and power generated from the project shall be connected to the national grid through the NEA’s Garjyang Substation. The Required Commercial Operation Date for the projects is 16 August 2025. The investment by the Fund shall facilitate timely completion of the project and contribute to fulfilling Nepal’s commitment to clean energy.

Avasar Equity Diversified Fund (the “Fund”), Nepal’s first domestic Private Equity Fund registered with Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) under the Specialized Investment Fund Regulation, 2019, and managed by Avasar Equity Limited has invested in Litmus Industries Limited (LIL), one of the leading names in the Cables & Conductors industry in Nepal. LIL manufactures wide range of high-quality, efficient, and durable wires, cables, and conductors using advanced German technology from its factory in Butwal Industrial Estate, Butwal, Nepal. The Company has an existing production capacity of over 72,000 Kilometre Per Annum (KMPA) and is setting up a new manufacturing facility in Parasi, Nepal to expand the current capacity and product offerings. The Company’s existing products, Aluminium Conductor Steel Reinforced (ACSR) Conductors, Aerial Bunched Cables (ABC), Power Cables, House wiring cables, Enamel Winding Wires & Strips and Low Voltage (LV) Power Cables, find wide range of industrial and household applications. With the proposed expansion, the Company will be strategically poised to expand its product offering to include Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) Cables, High Temperature Low Sag (HTLS) Conductors, All Aluminium Alloy Conductors (AAAC), and Medium Voltage (MV) Cables.

Avasar Equity Diversified Fund invests in First Choice Foods Private Limited. Avasar Equity Diversified Fund (the “Fund”), Nepal’s first domestic Private Equity Fund registered with Securities Exchange Board of Nepal under the Specialized Investment Fund Regulation, 2019, has invested in First Choice Foods Private Limited (FCF). First Choice Foods Private Limited (“FCF”) is the first company in Nepal to manufacture french fries. FCF has set-up state of the art factory in Rupandehi, Nepal with an installed capacity of 2.0 Metric Ton (MT) per hour for manufacturing french fries and is in the process of setting-up another unit within the same premises for manufacturing speciality products like potatoes wedges, aloo tikki, etc. with an installed capacity of 0.5MT per hour. FCF has successfully completed the trial run of the french fries line, which shall soon come into commercial operation. For the past 3 to 4 years, FCF has been engaged in the research and development of potatoes with an objective to source potatoes required for manufacturing French Fries locally. FCF is currently engaging around 2,000 farmers and has the potential to engage around 5,000 farmers for harvesting of potatoes, thereby impacting the livelihood of the farmers and their families. The equity investment by the Fund shall facilitate the operation of the french fries line and assist FCF in setting up unit to manufacture speciality products, thereby contributing to fulfilling Nepal’s commitment to the development of the agriculture and agro-processing industry.
