Basilea receives BARDA funding to advance development of two #new #antifungals Today we announced that Basilea was awarded an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) by the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) to support the development of first-in-class antifungals and #antibacterials . Basilea received an initial funding of USD 29 million for the development of its clinical stage antifungals, fosmanogepix and BAL2062, with an option for more funding to develop Basilea’s portfolio. David Veitch , CEO of #BasileaPharmaceutica , said: “Basilea has been working with BARDA since 2013.
