Our planet’s trajectory is at an inflection point. How do we proceed in the face of ever-growing global demand for energy? 🚨 

Our Co-Founder and CEO Mansoor Hamayun has written a blog over on We Don't Have Time sharing the importance of our simple pay-as-you-go solar power solutions at a time where fossil fuel energy generation is dangerously driving global warming, yet billions of people still remain in the dark, living in #EnergyPoverty.  

As Mansoor put it: 

“The impact of access to reliable electricity for the communities we’ve reached across Sub-Saharan Africa is profound. I’ve met customers who have told me about the transformation of their children’s education as a result of them being able to study at home after dark with the lights on. Others have spoken of the life-changing impact for both people and livestock of being able to power a reliable water pump. It might be hard to imagine for us in developed nations, but these are life-transforming changes for those who have never before had access to reliable electricity.”

Happy World Environment Day! 🌱 

On this important day, let’s remind ourselves of our collective mission to keep global warming below 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. For us to stay on track, we must halve annual greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 – a big challenge.  

Where burning fossil fuels is the major cause of global warming, clean energy solutions are part of the answer. Our solar energy solution has so far prevented 964,835 metric tons of CO2e emissions from entering the atmosphere. ☀️ 

We must continue to innovate and seek solutions to improve and protect the lives of so many climate-vulnerable people and the planet we all call home 🌍

Take a look at our flavourful celebration of Africa Day!

For #AfricaDay, Bboxx employees brought in an array of traditional dishes from across the continent, allowing us to indulge in Africa's rich culinary heritage and mark the occasion through delectable cuisine. 

Delicious smells of Ghanaian Meat Pie, Kenyan Sukuma Wiki and Nigerian Gizdodo and Puff-Puffs wafting through the office is something we could get used to!

Thank you to all those who contributed to making this Africa Day truly special and memorable. Your enthusiasm for sharing your heritage through cuisine deepens our appreciation for the continent we are so fortunate to serve. 🌍
