#SpeakerAnnouncement We’re happy to have Dr. Nagarathna A , Associate Professor of Law, National Law School of India University as a key speaker for CyberX Summit & Awards 2024 - India Edition. Dr. Nagarathna, is a Gold Medalist in BA.LL.B. (1999) and has secured 5 gold medals from Bangalore University in law. She is currently pursuing her Post Doctorate study on “Cyber Crime Laws". She is teaching law since 2001 and is currently teaching at the National Law School of India University [NLSIU], Bengaluru. She specialises in Cyber laws, Criminal Laws and medical laws. She coordinates the Law School's Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Law and Cyber Forensics course. She has designed and executed various training courses on Cyber laws and trained many stakeholders including the Law Enforcement Agencies. She is a recipient of various awards and fellowships including the US's International Visitors' Leadership Program on Cyber policy. In recognition of her contribution towards preparing prison officer’s training manual she has been awarded with “Commendation Disc & Certificate” by the Bureau of Research and Development, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India in April, 2023. She is also a recipient of Rotary club’s Nation Builder Award, 2022 [in recognition of her valuable contribution to nation building as a teacher]. She recently visited Germany on DAAD- UGC Fellowship’s Faculty Exchange Program at Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany [from October to December 2023]. She has also received various research fellowships. She was a recipient of “International Visitor Leadership Program” [IVLP] by US Consulate Office, 2017. She was a Fellow, Shastri Indo-Canadian Fellowship, Shastri Mobility Programme, 2017-18 and was also a fellow at the ASLI [Asian Law Institute], National University of Singapore in 2012.She has published several books, articles and chapters at international and national level. she has contributed to various state's policies including the recent Cyber Security Policy of Government of Karnataka [adopted in 2024].
