Be My Eyes is a suite of products designed on a simple premise: to harness the power of technology and human connection to assist people who are blind or have low vision to lead more independent lives. With the press of a button, the app establishes a live video connection between blind and low vision users and either sighted volunteers, company representatives or sighted co-workers. With over 5 million users across 150 countries, Be My Eyes has become the largest online community for the blind and visually impaired.

Be My Eyes is on a quest to revolutionize accessible support. Look what we have found in a grocery store in Denver! 

In 2022, Barilla officially expanded accessibility to pasta by adding QR codes on packaging! By scanning the QR code with the camera of your smartphone, you can be instantly connected to a Barilla expert through the Be My Eyes app.

You can call Barilla on Be My Eyes to receive real time assistance with a wide range of tasks like:

🔷 Request a unique pasta recipe that uses ingredients you already have at home
🔷 Recommendations on the best Barilla sauce to pair with a specific type of pasta you have on hand.
🔷 Receive advice on suitable ingredient substitutions for a pasta recipe, based on dietary restrictions or allergies.
🔷 Learn more about the best way to store opened pasta and sauce, and how long you can keep them before they go bad.
