This year, we’ve put time and effort into the exciting project of updating Bemz office space. The challenging task was assigned to Josefine Jonsson, Project Manager at Bemz, who coordinated the project from start to finish.  
 
How did the project start? 
- The project started in the post pandemic climate. As we’re spending more and more time in the office, we wanted to create a space dedicated to focus and fun. Our wish is for everyone to fully enjoy their working environment, aiming for the same inspiring vibe that we’ve accomplished in our showroom to be reflected in the office space. 
 
What was the scope? 
- The scope was simple yet complex; to find a good balance between aesthetic and function. The project team created a plan to showcase a classic style that is easy to adapt to the change of seasons. We brought in many of our own fabrics to soften the space and to help with noise control. We were able to reuse fabric and décor that have been part of our previous photoshoots and campaigns in many areas of the office. 
 
Tell us about the process? 
- Everyone has a different viewpoint on what a preferred work environment is, and what should be prioritized. The project team did a great job from mood board all the way to the final touches. The most difficult part was not knowing the status of the floor before we had the carpet removed, but our polished concrete floors turned out great!  
 
How has the result been received? 
- I’m thrilled about the positive feedback from our coworkers. We’ve had many nice comments from guests saying that the office now feels very on brand and has a calm atmosphere. To celebrate the new space, we threw a party for our friends and family that was very appreciated.

With the launch of covers for Mio furniture, we’re taking a big step towards our goal - to extend the life of even more furniture. We’ve seen a high demand for custom-made covers for Mio's furniture for some time, and we are thrilled to announce that the first models are live on our site. In 2023, we collected data on which Mio models our customers were most interested in covering. The range is under development and will be continuously updated with new models and modules from Mio.

”The current times has made consumers more aware of the importance of circularity, as well as how and what they consume. This is something that Bemz has taken note of, as customers wish for a wider range. Bemz has, among other things, seen a high demand for furniture covers for more brands than IKEA. We are very pleased that we can now meet the demand of our customers by expanding our offering to covers for Mio sofas and armchairs," says Anneli Kansbod, CEO of Bemz.

Every year, millions of tons of furniture reach the end of their lives. Up to 90 percent of these furniture pieces are burned or end up in landfills. 88% of Bemz customers purchase their furniture covers for furniture they already own or buy second-hand, which means thousands of sofas, beds, and footstools are given new life with the help of a new cover each year.

Bemz' Autumn collection invites you to an exciting meeting between 70s-inspired fabrics and modern, overdimensioned shapes. The AW23 Moody Seventies collection is a magnificent tribute to the Autumn season, designed to highlight the sofa - the bigger, the better. 
 
"With this collection, we want to reintroduce the sofa as the hero - the big, bold star of the interior. Through undulating shapes and interesting angles, the sofa undergoes a metamorphosis this season. With The Moody Seventies collection, we continue to explore recycled fibers, both recycled polyester and cotton, for a soft feel and a contemporary look," says Filippa Bonde, Head of Product and Production at Bemz. 
 
The collection offers classic fabrics in a new execution with embossed striped and checked velvet fabrics, chunky corduroy, and a chenille with long fringe. The colour palette ranges from tones of burnt sienna red and deep mustard yellow, to dark green with electric lapis blue as an energizing accent.
