Bending Spoons. It’s a curious name, right? It’s from The Matrix, where the hero discovers that what seems impossible often isn't so. In 2013, when we were a punchy little startup, the parallel was fitting.

Today, it’s more appropriate than ever.

That five-person start-up has become one of Europe’s leading tech companies—with 300+ bright, inspiring, and hard-working Spooners from over 35 countries. Our category-leading products—including Splice, Remini, and 30 Day Fitness—have been downloaded half a billion times and delight millions of people every day.

We’ve adjusted our pay structure in a way that raises Spooner salaries.

Previously, we bolstered our commitment to excellent compensation through extra pay assignments—similar to bonuses, except not tied to performance benchmarks. These were assigned to every Spooner twice per year, and would vest over four years.

Going forward, we’re instead adding the amount directly to a Spooner’s salary to increase their monthly income. This not only gives them earlier access to the additional pay, but will serve them better for things in life that rely on salary—such as mortgage applications and rental agreements.
