Transforming IT Productivity: A FIRST-hand Account. 

At FIRST, a leading global brand experience agency, the IT team’s daily workload encompasses numerous IT functions. From managing the help desk that supports nearly 900 employees globally, to handling the onboarding and offboarding process that involves creating accounts across numerous apps, providing and revoking access to software, setting up devices, and more.

Challenge: With so many manual IT tasks, the team needed a change to increase their productivity. 

Solution: Automation with BetterCloud transformed their processes, particularly in onboarding and offboarding, reducing manual work by over 2,200 hours annually.

When a user is added to FIRST’s HRIS, BambooHR, an automated process is triggered. The previous manual process for setting up computers, which consumed approximately five hours, has been dramatically streamlined to just about 45 minutes.

The same streamlined process applies to offboarding too, where securing files and access to sensitive data quickly was important to the team. As part of their offboarding workflow, licenses, such as those for Google, Dropbox, and OneDrive, are systematically revoked.

85% reduction in onboarding time

Custom Attributes in BetterCloud Workflows for our BambooHR and Okta integrations are now available for all BetterCloud customers. 

Businesses are all unique and customization is key. For example - some hospitals use custom codes for their employees, other companies assign multiple secondary email addresses with each individual, and some organizations have different business entities that need to be associated with specific employees. 

With Custom Attributes you can customize onboarding and off-boarding automations without additional manual steps or being limited by "out-of-the-box" provider data.
