Better Futures Minnesota is a non-profit social enterprise established in 2007, focused on reintegrating high-risk adults, primarily African American men, into society. The organization provides a platform for success through trauma-informed integrated care, workforce training, and development in areas such as deconstruction, warehouse safety, appliance recycling, and lawn care. It operates a ReUse Warehouse that sells salvaged building materials, contributing to environmental sustainability by diverting waste from landfills.

We believe everyone deserves a fair shot at the American dream.

This dream includes the opportunity to pursue a good job, a safe home, health care and services, and meaningful relationships with friends, family, and the community. We also believe in personal redemption and second chances, and that men who are dedicated to change and hard work should have the opportunity to achieve success and make a positive impact in the community.

The men we embrace and serve have made mistakes, but they are not bad people. We work with men who take responsibility for their past and are committed to doing better—men who want to work to create a better life for themselves, their children, their family, their neighbors, and the community.

We are proud to walk alongside these men on their path to transforming their lives and building a better future.

Voting rights for felons has been restored!

Senate President Bobby Joe Champion bill was approved 35 to 30 and sent to Gov. Tim Walz for his promised signing. Bobby stated, “When individuals are connected to their communities and participating in pro-social activities, recidivism goes down, and the decision to do something to reoffend goes down as well.”
This is a great step in the right direction to reintroduce felons back into society, so far 21 states have restored voting rights for felons. #VotingRights #Felons #society

Bloomington, MN monthly bulky item pickup.

Last November we partnered with the City of Bloomington, MN to collect reusable and recyclable items from residents homes. This effort will help reduce the amount of items that would usually end up in the landfill.
