Today, Beyond Next Ventures celebrates its 10th anniversary!

We hosted a special 10th-anniversary event at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) in Tokyo, a renowned science museum.

The event was attended by approximately 500 guests, including our valued stakeholders and their families.

We organized 10 exciting activities, including an art project, 10 of traditional Japanese summer festival stalls (foods, drinks and games for kids), and panel discussions.

We were also honored to welcome the founders of our Indian portfolio companies, along with their families. In a panel discussion titled "Understanding the Strength of India," facilitated by Yuichiro Sano, Head of India Investment, we had the privilege of hearing from Sateesh, Founder of BigHaat, and Ganesh, Founder of Myelin Foundry.

As we mark this milestone, we’re gearing up for the next decade of innovation, impact, and creating the beyond next society with exceptional challengers.

We recently hosted a successful Indian Founders’ Meeting in Tokyo, bringing together 10 of our Indian portfolio companies. 

Over several days, we engaged in a series of impactful activities, including:
・Visits to leading Japanese companies for insightful discussions and exploration of new business opportunities.
・Fundraising meetings with Japanese investors and VCs to strengthen their growth trajectories.
・Pitch events that expanded their networks and fostered valuable new connections with stakeholders in Tokyo.
・Peer learning sessions among founders, promoting knowledge sharing and strong partnerships.

This visit paved the way for cross-border collaborations. Beyond Next Ventures will continue to support our strong founders community and foster Indo-Japan partnerships. Excited for the future that lies ahead!

We at Beyond Next Ventures are thrilled to announce that we have successfully closed our third deep tech fund for Japan at ¥25.7 billion (around $160 million). 

This fund is 56% larger than our second fund, and is one of the largest funds raised for deep-tech in Japan.

This milestone showcases our dedication to accelerate the real-world adoption of groundbreaking science and technology from Japan.

About Beyond Next Ventures India:
We are an early-stage venture capital firm investing in deep-tech and tech-enabled startups that address social and environmental challenges in India and beyond. We focus on healthcare, climate, agriculture, digital infrastructure, and AI. We have been actively investing in India since 2019 and are committed to further advancing our work in the country. We are soon launching a new investment fund dedicated to India and are eagerly looking for an entrepreneurial Investment Manager to be a founding member in launching this new fund.

Key Responsibilities:
-As a playing manager, execute end-to-end investment cycles
-Identify trends in target sectors and develop an investment thesis
-Generate deal flow and source investment opportunities in early-stage startups
-Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investments
-Negotiate deal terms and structure investments
-Manage and contribute to portfolio companies' growth
-Contribute to the overall strategy of the fund and participate in fundraising efforts

Requirements:
-7 to 8 years of experience in venture capital, preferably in deep-tech
-Track record of end-to-end investment cycles, including sourcing high-quality startups, leading investment rounds, and portfolio support. Exit experience is preferred.
-Entrepreneurial mindset with a prior track record of building things from zero to one
-Must have leadership/management experience
-High standards of work ethic and responsibility for investments
-Excellent collaborative skills and an open mindset for teamwork
-Willingness to contribute to fundraising efforts
