The Versatile EEG 16 is emphasized as a 𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆-𝘁𝗼-𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, which makes it perfect for early Alzheimer's detection in clinical and research settings. Have a look at the technical specifications here: https://lnkd.in/dpmZsnvH The study aimed to investigate how three groups: Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI-non-AD), mild AD, and healthy controls could be categorized using a commercial EEG system, the 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝗘𝗚 𝟭𝟲, based on their brainwave signals during resting state activity. To achieve this, the research team used a multi-step classification pipeline that included feature extraction, artifact rejection, and machine learning approaches (MLP classifier). The system achieved 𝟵𝟱% 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁-𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆, successfully identifying both 𝗠𝗖𝗜-𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗔𝗗 and 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗔𝗗 groups with high precision. Through stimulating conversations about Alzheimer's 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, we have had rewarding experience over the last four days, learning greatly from other professionals. We explored 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀 with each session providing new viewpoints and gathering useful information that will 𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵. Our team is participating in the 17th Clinical Trials on Alzheimer's Disease ( CTAD Alzheimer ) conference in Madrid, Spain, from 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟵 𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰. 𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗘𝗚 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲!? We want to share with the scientific community the first open-access dataset that uses 𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗲-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗘𝗚 and accurately measures 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆. 🧠👕 https://lnkd.in/dsgrbxvD Last year, our researchers conducted a study that demonstrates Ikon headband reliability in measuring brain activity, showing comparable performance to traditional systems while prioritizing user comfort. The study emphasizes that the 𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗲-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗘𝗚 (Bitbrain Ikon headband) represents a significant step toward making EEG technology more accessible and comfortable for the general population. By reducing manufacturing costs and enhancing usability, this technology could facilitate large-scale recordings for both clinical and non-clinical applications. The potential applications are vast—from clinical assessments to everyday brain health monitoring. We believe this technology can significantly improve access to EEG measurements, enhancing mental health and well-being.
