📌 The total stablecoin market cap, excluding algorithmic stablecoins, has reached a new all-time high. Stablecoins remain the most important proxy for liquidity and an important directional indicator of digital asset markets.
 
📌 The outflows from Grayscale's ETHE fund have slowed down significantly over the last two weeks, while the ETH spot ETFs are still seeing mostly net outflow days, so far. Bitcoin saw large inflows last week, totaling $533 million.
 
📌 The crypto market sentiment is lingering back in fear territory after a couple of days at neutral levels over the last weekend. The stock market on the other hand is already back in greed territory.

Who Owns All the Bitcoins?
 
In recent months, there has been a lot of talk about the German government, Mt. Gox, and the sale of their bitcoin holdings. 👀
 
Both events have led to considerable selling pressure on the Bitcoin market and many market participants have wondered which other countries, institutions, companies and private individuals still hold considerable amounts of bitcoin and could sell them, thus creating further selling pressure in the future. 💡

Bitcoin as a reserve currency for nation states? 💡 #PotentialsOfCrypto

📌 El Salvador is holding 5'854 BTC, and its reserve is growing by 1 Bitcoin per day, as they have been buying daily since early March 2024.

📌 Former U.S. President Donald Trump has pledged to make Bitcoin a strategic reserve asset for the USA if he is re-elected as President in November.

📌 The USA currently holds more than 200'000 BTC, confiscated from Silk Road, and the United Kingdom is holding 61'000 BTC, confiscated from a Chinese investment Ponzi scheme.

📌 The Swiss and Norwegian national banks are already holding crypto stocks such as MicroStrategy, Marathon Digital or Riot Platforms. This could be interpreted as an indirect exposure to Bitcoin.

💡 If Donald Trump wins in November and follows through on making Bitcoin a strategic reserve asset, it could trigger an interesting geopolitical shift.
