Between extreme weather events and global efforts to cap temperature rise, there's increasing attention on the technologies needed for wide-scale decarbonization, and #hydrogen is one of them. 

While direct electrification is one tool to #decarbonize many applications, it doesn't cover everything. 🔋 Imagine flying an airplane around the globe with a heavy battery. ✈  Instead, 10-20% of the future #cleanenergy needs will likely be satisfied by other sources, such as clean hydrogen.

Bloom's new Series 10 offering with CHP is packaged to help heavy industry decarbonize, and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)'s “Pathways to Commercial Liftoff” series illuminates the niche needs of these industries.

The Pathways initiative aims to catalyze commercialization of technologies critical to reaching #netzero.  

Their most recent reports show that U.S. industry is lagging on emissions cuts. See some highlights from the reports below and how Bloom’s #Series10 can help these industries make swift progress on #decarbonization goals.

🏭 Chemical and refinery industries leave the biggest carbon footprint, with 7% of the world's CO2 equivalent emissions being attributed to these two sectors.
🏗 As a stand-alone focus of the report, the cement industry is responsible for as much as 2% of U.S. carbon dioxide emissions and 8% of CO2 globally.

But Bloom's Series 10, built around our highly efficient, fuel flexible #fuelcell platform, could be the solution for many businesses - especially industries that use CHP to generate the process steam needed for their operations.

As El Nino ramps up this season, meteorologists predict a “substantially elevated chance of a wet winter” in California. We want to share some helpful information so you can know how #microgrids help vulnerable communities keep their lights on with resilient power independent from the grid.
