𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮: 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱
India’s longshore unions are set to strike across 12 major ports starting tomorrow, Wednesday the 28th of August, following the rejection of a revised wage proposal by the Indian Ports Association (IPA). 

If the final talks today in New Delhi fail, critical ports like Kandla, Mumbai, and Chennai will face significant disruptions in import and export activities, particularly in dry #bulk and general #cargo operations. While private ports may remain operational, the involvement of tug operators could still hinder #vessel movements. 

With 20,000 longshoremen and tug operators involved, the outcome of today’s talks is crucial. Stay tuned for updates as this situation unfolds.
