Today was Swiss National Future Day! 🌟 This inspiring day focuses on promoting gender equality from an early age in career and life planning. This year, we were thrilled to welcome 48 children, who got hands-on experience with us! After a tour of our facilities, they went through the entire process of creating their very own snow globes — from designing to assembling, and finally seeing the results of their work. Under the theme "A Boss for a Day," two girls joined Cornelia Haas-Sauer and Veronika Schelling , gaining a unique insight into leadership. Yesterday, we had the pleasure of officially welcoming all new apprentices who have joined us since August at our headquarters in Winterthur. 🎉 At Burckhardt Compression, we are proud to train apprentices and interns worldwide. This year, we’re excited to welcome 25 new apprentices for the 2024/2025 training year in Winterthur. They are beginning their apprenticeships in the following fields: business administration specialist, engineering design technician, IT specialist, logistics, polymechanic, production technician and mechanical engineering technician. We are proud to currently train 53 apprentices at our Winterthur site, representing almost 5% of our local workforce. We are making a valuable contribution in the fight against the skills shortage, supporting not only our company but also society as a whole. Experience the first 3 steps of the Hyper K10 compressor’s journey from Winterthur, Switzerland, to China! 🚚 280 tons | 12m long | 7m wide | 2.65m high The journey begins with meticulous packing and loading onto the truck, followed by the first meters of the carefully planned transport to Basel on the Rhine River. Here, it will be loaded onto a Rhine ship. To minimize traffic disruption, this operation is conducted overnight over two days, with a constant police escort ensuring safe passage. From Basel, the Hyper compressor travels by Rhine ship to Rotterdam, where it is transferred to a larger vessel for its sea voyage to a port in China.
