When we launched our Whole Nutrition Infant Formula in March 2022, we were the first new U.S infant formula manufacturer in 15 years. Since then, we’ve been leading the way in a lot of ways.

We truly cannot begin to explain how excited we are to announce that we are exclusively launching with one of the nation’s biggest retailers—Target! This means that our formula is available to families in more places. Starting today, we’re rolling out in stores across the country. 

This announcement comes on the heels of months of hard work and sheer determination. And throughout this process, we never lost sight of the magnitude of what we’re all doing here—making the most important food for the most important people, babies.

Fun get togethers are right up our alley 🎳 Some of our team members at ByHeart HQ in New York City came together for  bowling–as a way to unwind from our preparations for relaunch (happening early summer!).

While all of us have been working tirelessly to get our infant formula back in parents’ hands—safely and reliably—we believe in taking the time to celebrate wins (big and small!) We couldn’t have asked for a better team.

Since day 1, we have been committed to making the best infant formula in the world. And the only way to do that is to take the harder, longer path to control every step of our product development and manufacturing. This is the most important food for the most important people, and you can only make it better if you make it yourself. 

Over the last few months, we’ve been hard at work integrating our 2 new manufacturing and packaging facilities, while getting the FDA registrations we need—all to get our infant formula back into the hands of families by early summer (we’ll have a more specific date to share soon). 
 
As the first new infant formula manufacturer in 15 years, we knew this path wouldn’t be an easy one, but with our incredible team (who has over 200 years of combined FDA and infant formula experience), we are focused on setting a new industry standard for quality, safety and reliability. Because families deserve assurance and peace of mind.

Some of the amazing work being done at the new facilities:
 
- We added new HVAC with HEPA air filtering controls to make sure the product is made in the optimal temperature and humidity to be resistant to bacterial growth—plus, in house lab space and capabilities to conduct extensive testing during the production process.

- Our very own Jeanne aka “The Godmother of Formula” (with 36 years experience in infant formula regulation, product development and formulation) is conducting training for all 176 of our manufacturing employees on best practices, regulations and quality considerations for operating a manufacturing facility to go above minimum FDA requirements.

- We are running infant formula trials on our new equipment to test efficiency and critical quality specifications.

- We opened a new fulfillment center location to be able to more quickly and efficiently ship formula to your doorstep, cutting ship time for certain locations by 50%.

- We are continuing our 5 years of work with FDA. They have successfully reviewed the first of our 2 new facility registration submissions and we expect to receive a second positive FDA response shortly!

We can’t wait to start shipping again in early summer!
