Byju's is currently facing significant legal challenges as US lenders seek to recover over $1.2 billion. The company's founder, Byju Raveendran, is accused of concealing $533 million, leading to a fraudulent-transfer lawsuit in a US bankruptcy court. An Indian court has removed US lenders from a key creditors committee, complicating their efforts to collect the owed amount. Despite attempts to push Byju's into insolvency proceedings, progress has been limited, and the matter has escalated to India's Supreme Court, where lenders are contesting a deal Byju's made to resolve its main insolvency case.
