4x: ⚡ Canvas patient search is now four times faster. Find patients by name, DOB, contact info, or MRN in 300ms on average and less than one second 95% of the time. Patient searches are one of the most common queries, and these time savings add up fast for clinicians using Canvas.

Last month, Canvas released a 9x improvement to ontology lookup latency, also hitting a 300ms average lookup and one second at the 99th percentile. Every minute matters with patients.

9x: ⚡ Canvas clinical ontology lookups are now nine times faster. Find medications, diagnoses, specialists, vaccines, and much more in less than 300ms on average and less than one second 99.9% of the time.

How did we do it? And how do we manage so many clinical ontologies in-house for unmatched analytics, native interoperability, built-in safety, and language modeling advantages? Stay tuned for more under the hood.

We love quick wins that have a huge impact on end user experience. Today, we released 7 updates, including filter options that make it easier to navigate the schedule and task panel as well as new logic that prevents condition duplication in the chart. Many of the changes took less than a day to implement and the feedback after only a few hours has been overwhelming. 🙌

A message regarding the Change Healthcare outage and its limited impact on Canvas and our customers.

Canvas has deep, long standing prebuilt integrations with Surescripts, Health Gorilla, and Claim.MD. The Canvas system does not rely directly on Change Healthcare for any of these prebuilt integrations.

As a result, we are delivering a higher quality of service than platforms relying directly on Change Healthcare bolt-ons for prescriptions, labs, and insurance clearinghouse functionality like eligibility verification, claim submission, and remittance advice. If you have been impacted by these outages and want to understand if Canvas can help, please reach out.

As a core industry trading partner, however, the Change Healthcare's downtime has caused some disruption to a subset of Canvas customers in claim processing by specific payers, and with certain types of pharmacy orders. We are navigating this directly with our customers and will continue to do so.
