Carbominer is a Ukrainian climate tech startup that has developed new modular plug-and-play CO₂ Direct Air Capture technology, embedded in transportable 20ft shipping containers.

Since its foundation in 2020, Carbominer is on a mission to help businesses decarbonize and move to sustainable operations.

As our first market, we aim to provide CO₂ captured from the air to indoor agriculture growers in the EU as a sustainable and fossil-free alternative to the CO₂ they use now. Other potential markets include decarbonisation of the construction industry, carbon removals, and sustainable fuels.

The EIC Accelerator, known for supporting cutting-edge and high-impact projects, has recognised the potential of Carbominer's technology. This funding will be pivotal in accelerating the deployment of Carbominer's modular DAC systems across Europe.

We are happy to share that #Carbominer completed Stage 1 of the remove accelerator program 🎊

Being a part of #RemoveCohort4, we learnt about new amazing opportunities for CDR startups, how to navigate policies in Europe and the USA, as well as how to pitch and tailor our value proposition in the CDR space. 

As #remove program was one of our first steps on an incredible #CDR journey, we made tremendous progress in setting our minds for it. We applied to compete for a pre-purchase agreement and started negotiations of the DAC+storage pilot with our partner.

It was a pleasure to become a part of the vivid and active remove #community. Among fellow removers we discovered amazing CDR projects with technologies ranging from #DACCS to #Mineralisation to #DirectOceanCapture to #Biochar and many more. The world is going to need each and every one of you in the crucial years ahead! 💯
