Today marks the start of an exciting journey for BESTMED as it improves the medication safety for Australian's growing old at home. There is a clear problem to solve with studies of Australian Home Care Package recipients revealing over 50% regularly taking antibiotics, a third are highly sedated and 10% are chronic opioid users. 12% had been hospitalised from falls and yet only 3% have received a medication review. Introducing BESTMED for Home Care, a purpose built app for Home Care providers navigating increased clinical standards whilst making it easier for home care workers.
