𝑯𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝑲𝒐𝒏𝒈: 𝑫𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒆-𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒆 𝑺𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒘𝒐 𝑹𝒆𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒍 𝑩𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔

The team at cargo-partner’s warehouse in Hong Kong set up a dedicated e-commerce center within its 13,000 m² warehouse. The comprehensive e-fulfillment solution was created for two well-known retail brands from Korea that sell their products via several e-commerce platforms such as Shopify or HKTVmall, the largest platform in Hong Kong.
The cooperation proved particularly challenging with products being sold 24/7 and the short lead time to move stock from the previous operator to the new warehouse. Nonetheless cargo-partner managed the transition – losing just one business day – as well as the successful integration of the customers’ warehouse management system.
 
The stock transfer took place on weekends and public holidays and the local warehouse team managed to seamlessly integrate over 800 stock keeping units and packaging materials on over 450m². Since then up to 3,000 B2C online orders are managed per day, showing the expertise to provide fast, tailor-made solutions for customers and their e-commerce business.

E-commerce has sparked a boom in global parcel logistics, fueling demand for nifty warehousing solutions – hence “Celluveyor” was born. The innovative startup combines many benefits to help tackle some of the challenges facing modern warehouses. Yet the system is as sophisticated as it is straightforward, using hexagon-shaped elements, combined in a modular system, to bring packages onto the right track – literally.

In a momentous occasion for our cargo-partner Melbourne team, our CEO, Dr. Luca Ferrara recently paid his first visit to the office since its establishment. He was warmly greeted by the team members, who were thrilled to have the opportunity for a face to face interaction with him.

Luca Ferrara took the time to meet with each staff member individually, acknowledging their hard work and dedication. Later during this same trip, together with our Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board, Mr. Toshihide Kishimoto, our CEO also went to pay a visit to our cargo-partner Thailand office.

Throughout the visit, both Luca and Kishimoto-san expressed their enthusiasm for the company’s growth, future plans and strategies. Their personal presence reinforced our collective strength and added to the sense of unity we have around the globe as we move forward together.

Last week, leading members of Nippon Express Holdings, Inc.'s Sustainability Promotion Division paid a visit to our cargo-partner headquarters in Fischamend.
 
Hiroko Kishida, Executive Officer, Corporate Strategy Headquarters, Chika Mizuguchi, Group General Manager, and Takahiro Mitomo, Group General Manager, met with Thomas Schledorn, COO Overland, Erika Turček Pfundtnerová, Corporate Manager Sustainability, and Andreas Klusacek, Head of Strategy Office and PMI Leader. The purpose of the visit was to learn about each other’s approaches, initiatives and platforms. Takashi Masuda, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, and Toshihide Kishimoto, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board, accompanied the visit.
 
After an introductory session and best practice sharing, the delegation had the opportunity to visit our sustainable wooden iLogistics Center.
 
Successfully managing sustainability efforts has become a critical business factor. We are thankful to have had this opportunity to join forces and produce better results in the future. Sustainability matters.
