Jake Heller has been at the forefront of applying AI to build sophisticated technology for lawyers since co-founding the legal AI #startup Casetext in 2013. Since then, Jake has led the development and launch of several innovative solutions, including CoCounsel, the world's first AI legal assistant, released in March 2023. Casetext's success caught the attention of Thomson Reuters, which acquired the company in August 2023. Jake now serves as the Head of Product for CoCounsel at Thomson Reuters, developing leading #AI solutions for professionals. Jake has been named to Forbes 30 Under 30 and the Fastcase 50 for legal innovation for his work at Casetext, Part of Thomson Reuters. He’s a Silicon Valley native and has been programming since childhood.

The article follows Thomson Reuters announcing yesterday its plan to offer a single GenAI assistant with applications for TR’s range of professional services in Legal, Tax, Risk & Fraud, and Media.
