Museum Porzellanikon (Selb) and CeramTec share a common mission: ceramics! The new permanent exhibition 'Mission: Ceramics', which CeramTec is supporting by donating some of its products as exhibits, has opened its doors to the public. The innovative comic-style exhibition design is aimed particularly at families and vividly demonstrates the outstanding properties and applications of high-performance ceramics. Visitors accompany the main character Lucy on a superhero mission and learn how indispensable technical ceramics are in our everyday lives. Numerous CeramTec exhibits will be on display: from ceramic components in hip replacements to piezo sensors and grinding discs in fully automated coffee machines, they demonstrate the impressive diversity of advanced ceramics! We are pleased to support this important mission and to honour the tradition of the ceramics region of Selb.

CeramTec goes #Pink ! During #Pinktober , information about breast cancer is provided worldwide and attention is drawn to prevention and treatment options. As a medtech platform, we also attach great importance to this month of action. It's great to see how many CeramTec sites around the world - from UK to Germany to Malaysia and Korea - are going above and beyond to draw as much attention as possible to breast cancer and raise awareness. Thank you, you guys are awesome! 💪 Did you know? 👉Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide. 👉In Germany alone, around 70,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year. 👉Early detection is crucial: regular check-ups and self-examinations can help to detect changes early and thus significantly increase the chances of recovery. In meinem Leben habe ich schon viele Rollen innegehabt: Ich bin Geschäftsführer, Arzt, Autor, Podcast-Host und natürlich Mensch. Dabei habe mich immer weiterentwickelt und viel Neues dazugelernt. Aber eines stand bei mir immer im Vordergrund und das hat sich nie geändert: Ich habe mein Leben immer der Gesundheit der Menschen gewidmet. Und eine der größten Herausforderungen in unserer Zeit ist nach wie vor der Kampf gegen Krebserkrankungen. Daher unterstütze ich als CEO von #CeramTec seit vielen Jahren die unverzichtbare Arbeit des Deutschen Krebsforschungszentrums. Es erfüllt mich gleichzeitig mit Stolz und Demut, dass ich ein Teil der aktuellen Plakatkampagne des DKFZ German Cancer Research Center sein darf und dazu beitragen kann, auf das wichtige Thema Krebsforschung aufmerksam zu machen. Es gibt wahrscheinlich kaum jemanden, in dessen Familien- oder Freundeskreis nicht eines Tages eine Krebsdiagnose alles auf den Kopf stellt und vielleicht trifft einen diese Diagnose auch selbst einmal. Wir müssen nicht alle Ärzte und Ärztinnen oder Forscherinnen und Forscher sein, aber wir alle können helfen, die lebensrettende Forschung gegen Krebserkrankungen zu unterstützen.
