The lead drug candidate, CS1, is a Phase II candidate in development for the treatment of the rare disease pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and thrombotic indications. CS1 is an HDAC (Histone DeACetylase) inhibitor that acts as an epigenetic modulator with anti-thrombotic, anti-inflammatory, anti-fibrotic and pressure-relieving properties, all relevant for PAH.

The abstract on CS585, co-authored by Dr. Michael Holinstat , to be presented at the AHA Scientific Sessions 2024 this weekend is now available on the congress website. The abstract titled “Sustained Anti-Thrombotic Efficacy Of CS585, A Novel Prostacyclin Receptor Agonist, Demonstrates Therapeutic Potential”, was authored by L. Stanger, M Flores, P Yalavarthi and M. Holinstat, at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA; and B. Dahlöf, Cereno Scientific, Gothenburg, Sweden. The abstract will be presented by Livia Stanger , Graduate student at the Holinstat Lab at University of Michigan, led by Dr. Michael Holinstat, Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, the Department of Internal Medicine (Division of Cardiovascular Medicine), and the Department of Vascular Surgery at the University of Michigan. Dr. Holinstat leads Cereno’s development programs at the University of Michigan and is Director of Translational Research at Cereno. Dr. Michael Holinstat has been invited to introduce the session where the CS585 abstract is presented, with a presentation titled “New Mechanisms For Antiplatelet Therapies”. The abstract will be presented on Saturday, 16 November, 15:15–16:30 CST, as part of the session “Translational Discovery in Thrombosis and Anti-thrombotic Therapeutics”. Cereno Scientific secures minimum 250 MSEK loan financing to reach set milestones into 2026 The Financing Agreement includes a cash loan in two tranches totaling 175 MSEK as well as the issue of convertible loans of 75 MSEK with Fenja Capital II A/S and the US-based investor Arena Investors, LP.
