A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure to attend the Egypt VC Summit in Cairo. 

I was lucky enough to meet lots of interesting people doing interesting things from various countries across the world, including Karim Shariff, Dimple Sahni, Nikunj Shah, George Dimopoulos, Kenza Lahlou, Lingxiu Zhang, CFA, CIMA, Dela Adedze, Jana Aboughali, Saman Sadeghi and everyone else! I came away from the event with a much deeper understanding of the Egyptian VC ecosystem. 

Participating in the Family Offices: Venture Vanguards panel moderated by Ethan James A., with Kok Chung Ong of Kreation Ventures, Santiago Tamayo of Santa Maria Investment Group, and Ahmed Habib of HARVEST HOLDINGS was thoroughly insightful as we discussed the similarities & differences in our journeys investing in early-stage tech companies across the globe. 

A big thank you to the organisers Changelabs, Flat6Labs, Sawari Ventures, Hakim Benbadra, Ventures Unknown & all the other organisers & supporters of the Summit. 

Attending the VC Summit was a good opportunity for Chandaria Capital to see what Egypt had to offer and whether we should be doing more business in the region, and I'm glad to say that it truly delivered and we are looking forward to deepening our exposure going forward.

We also had the opportunity to meet notable companies like BluSmart, Credit Wise Capital, and IGP.com, who have made waves in the Indian startup ecosystem.
