#WeAreCitizens: Meet Indiana, one of our IT Junior Associates in the Applications department. Indiana is a low-code application development intern responsible for developing computer applications for Citizens using the Microsoft Power Platform. He explained, “Low-code development differs from the development I have traditionally done in school as it focuses on building applications through various drag-and-drop elements and modifying their properties rather than working with lines of code.”

Indiana recently received his Bachelor of Science in Information Science from the University of North Florida and a minor in Applied Statistics and Psychology. He also completed the Hicks Honors College program and is currently pursuing his master's degree with a concentration in Information Systems.

During his time at Citizens so far, Indiana shared that he found our corporate culture supportive and that employees maintain a healthy work-life balance. “I certainly appreciate that it is very easy to ask for help if I need it.”

#WeAreCitizens: Meet Archit, one of our IT Junior Associates in the Data Engineering and Analytics department. Archit creates interactive and innovative PowerBI reports, works to improve and expedite outdated Guidewire queries, and explores PowerApps.

Archit discovered Citizens at a career fair hosted at Florida State University. "I was inspired by the purpose of Citizens' work," he shared. "It was then that I asked if there were any openings. The Citizens team contacted me, and I eagerly agreed to participate in the recruitment process. I am fortunate to join this organization as an IT intern."

He also values Citizens' corporate culture of continuous learning and growth. "Personally, I greatly appreciate an environment where we have the liberty to ask questions freely and even more so when there are abundant individuals available to respond to our inquiries and share their knowledge with us."

So far, Archit's favorite experience has been the IT Potluck. He said it brings different teams together with similar experiences, positively impacting interns' mindsets.

Archit is looking forward to the IT Town Hall for the opportunity to interact with more people and gain insights into the future of IT here at Citizens.

#TalentTuesday: Meet Teresa, an Investigator in our Office of Inspector General (OIG). She has been part of #TeamCitizens since 2011, when she started in our Human Resources department. In 2014, when the OIG was established, she was the first team member!

During her time at Citizens, Teresa has taken on many challenges and expanded her knowledge and skills. Her focus has been developing and documenting office infrastructure and data systems processes for the OIG. "Building an office and seeing how we've grown and progressed as a team has been truly rewarding!"
