Our joint solution is successfully deployed in clinical cancer care and already delivering positive results in accelerating the clinical utilization of guidelines-based precision oncology.

"Accessibility to genomic tests remains a global challenge." #ICYMI, this insightful and inspiring story from breast cancer patient/physician/scientist Catalina Lopez-Correa (together with a note from our co-founder Lisa Alderson) offers a true call to action to expand access to precision medicine.

➡ Only 3 percent of Stage IV NSCLC patients received targeted therapy. ⬅ 

In this analysis* of more than 39,000 patients with late-stage non-small cell lung cancer, only 22 percent had molecular test results in their medical record, even though guidelines during this period called for testing all such patients for a minimum of three mutations. 

And of those 22 percent, only three percent received targeted therapy – even though targeted therapies have proven improved outcomes in this patient group.**

As the authors in this “US-based real-world data set… .The percentage of patients undergoing testing remains sub-optimal.” This analysis is from 2022, but we know that not enough has yet changed. A key reason for low utilization – challenging, timely interpretations of molecular test results.

Another significant aspect of this study – the authors noted that Causcasians and women were more likely to receive molecular testing than other groups.
