Today NDTV Profit, India Market Open interviewed Indranil Sen Gupta, Economist and Head of Research at CLSA India on FDI flows. In his view FDI flows will double to 1% of GDP as a function of the weakening rupee. Indranil explains the RBI has rebuilt reserves and the raise in FDI flows is in tandem with a period in which the RBI built FX reserves and provided comfort to investors.

The Green Earth Night Walk 2024 took place on a crisp January afternoon, igniting a spark of excitement and a shared commitment to our planet’s well-being. The night walk is a remarkable charity event organized by The Green Earth, a local charity dedicated to promoting resource conservation and a zero-waste culture. 
 
CITIC CLSA participants embarked on a journey to the summit of Tai Mo Shan, Hong Kong's highest peak. The funds raised during this event would support The Green Earth's environmental initiatives and education programmes, empowering them to make a tangible difference in promoting a zero-waste lifestyle.
 
As the sun set and night fell, we crossed the finishing point sharing low-carbon vegetarian food harmonized with the symphony of rustling leaves, providing a soothing soundtrack as we celebrated the end of our journey.

Bloomberg today interviewed Stella Liu Sorcerer’s Apprentice at CLSA for her review of the tongue in cheek predictions found in CLSA’s 30th Feng Shui Index in the year of the Wood Dragon. According to the Feng Shui Index, last year our own favourite Earth Rooster the Hang Sheng Index had a busy time hopping all over the place in the year of the Rabbit. In the coming year of the Wood Dragon, we expect a slow start to begin followed by a decline, and dramatic turn around with a break even in July and August, eventually reaching a new height at year end. With the emergence of the mighty Dragon and a new celestial cycle, lots of successes and challenges should be expected along the way.

🙌Unleashing the Spirit of Inclusion: Hong Kong Inclusive Kin-Ball Cup

On 20th January, 2024, Southorn Stadium buzzed with anticipation as nearly 80 students with special educational needs and volunteers from various corporates gathered to participate in the Hong Kong Inclusive Kin-Ball Cup. 
 
The event was organized by TREATS, a local NGO dedicated to promoting social inclusion through educational, life experience and social exposure programmes. Among the teams were the CITIC CLSA volunteers and six students from Saviour Lutheran School, who had come together to form a team. Over the past two months, these volunteers and students had trained together, building not only their kin-ball skills but also forging friendships. Spearheaded by TREATS, this project had fostered a bond between the volunteers and the students, breaking down barriers and promoting understanding and acceptance.

The Inclusive Kin-ball Project not only showcased skill and determination, but also demonstrated the power of collaboration, understanding, and acceptance. We are grateful for the success of this project, as it brought people of different abilities closer together and promoted the values of inclusivity and sportsmanship.
