Earlier this week, the FED unsurprisingly left interest rates unchanged, while going against the trend on Wednesday, the Bank of Japan hiked rates..

Spot Ethereum ETFs continue to be dragged by large outflows from the Grayscale Ethereum meanwhile Spot Bitcoin ETFs on the other hand have seen healthy inflows over the last couple of weeks.

Why are the Fed and the Bank of Japan moving in opposite directions? Why are Spot Ethereum ETFs facing large outflows while Spot Bitcoin ETFs have seen inflows?

The launch of the #Ethereum ETF saw some of the largest inflows since December 2020 at $2.2bn, but incumbent outflows offset this with net outflows over all of US$285m.
 
Digital asset investment products saw inflows of $245m, and #Bitcoin continued to see healthy inflows of $519m.

Spot ETH ETFs launched earlier this week on the 23rd of July!

The first day saw $1.1bn in volume across the 9 ETFs, while the Grayscale #Ethereum Trust saw outflows of around $1bn. Given the similarities between the launch of the Spot Bitcoin ETFs and that of the ETH ETFs, the outflows were not unexpected.
