Today marks a significant day in history for the African American and Black community. Juneteenth recognizes when the last remaining enslaved African Americans in the U.S. were made aware of the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1st, 1863. We honor the freedom of every American and celebrate the progress our country has made towards a more unified future.
