We have an update on our hemp plants! We're so close to the Flower-Only™ stage of our operation, and we can't wait, but patience pays off in this business. One of the reasons we're so proud to be vertically integrated is to soak up every step of production during the life cycle of our products. It may seem daunting to have these plants hang for weeks and weeks, but at least they look incredible and smell even better!

It was an absolute honor to have Louisville Orchestra Conductor Teddy Abrams out to our farm Friday morning. Abrams is beyond brilliant, and to celebrate Kentucky, he’s currently on a tour around the state to gather inspiration for a new composition. It’s a privilege to be a part of this journey and we look forward to hearing Teddy’s take on the sounds of Kentucky.

We're playing the waiting game now! Over the next few weeks, our hemp plants will continue to dry in tobacco barns just like this one. It's a privilege being able to display our different levels of production, and one of the many reasons we're so proud to be vertically integrated. We appreciate all those that continue to support on our mission to deliver quality hemp products across the U.S!

Last month, California Gov. Gavin Newsom declared an emergency to ban all hemp products containing any THC. This rule forces all California cannabinoid consumers into a dispensary system that's facing a credibility crisis after an investigation by the LA Times revealed widespread pesticide contamination. The only way for Californians to be assured that their cannabinoid products are free of pesticides is by shopping for hemp products with the USDA organic seal and third-party lab tests, like the ones we make at Cornbread Hemp -- the very products that Gov. Newsom is trying to ban from California. That's why we are partnering with the U.S. Hemp Roundtable to take legal action against Newsom and ensure that Californians have access to safe products across the entire state. It won't be an easy fight, so we appreciate any support members of this industry are able to offer!

We're all about transparency and education, so we've been excited to walk our community through the steps we take to go from soil to oil. Now that the plants are out of the ground, we start right here with our Farm Manager, Isaac!

We had a blast hosting the Kentucky Sports Radio team for a remote show at our farm this morning! There's no better time than harvest, so we're just excited they got to see that process in action, all while doing what they do best 🎧🎤 🔵 😺

Two of our main fields suffered damage after the remnants of Hurricane Helene swept through, but with the help of our amazing team we were able to start harvesting! These plants will be used for our products throughout next year.

The past couple of weeks have been some of the busiest and best of my career. Here's what just happened: At the end of August, Cornbread Hemp® moved from Lexington to our new production facility in Louisville, and hired more than 20 new employees. On September 10th, we launched our new USDA organic THC gummies and sold out in 18 hours. A few days later, we welcomed journalists, partners, investors, and team members from all over the world for our annual Farm Day in Lexington, Kentucky and to tour our new facility in Louisville. Two days after that, Jim Higdon and I flew to Washington, D.C. with the U.S. Hemp Roundtable to help introduce Senator Ron Wyden ’s new cannabinoid regulation & safety bill, meeting with more than 10 different senate offices on the hill. And last but not least, the day after we got back from DC, hurricane Helene swept through Kentucky and severely damaged about half of our crop, which was only a few days away from being harvested. I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else. What’s next!?
