CRC biosamples is a company that provides comprehensive services for the collection of clinical samples and support for in vitro diagnostics under the IVDR regulation. The company aims to assist biobanks in procuring high-quality biological samples and to support manufacturers of IVD kits in meeting regulatory requirements.

On November 14, we observe World Diabetes Day. In the Czech Republic, approximately 1 in 10 people suffer from diabetes, while in Slovakia, it's about 1 in 15. Therefore, we would like to dedicate today's post to listing a few things you can do as part of prevention: ⭢ Drink mainly water and unsweetened teas. ⭢ Increase the proportion of vegetables and fruits in your daily diet. ⭢ Reduce the amount of fatty foods and include more healthy fats like nuts and fish. ⭢ Regular physical activity. ⭢ Maintaining a healthy weight. Meet Adéla – Our Clinical Research Coordinator and now also a Junior Project Manager. In addition to her role as a coordinator, where she oversees several centers, she is also responsible for training new team members. Recently, she gained the role of Junior Project Manager. Adéla has been with CRC since August 2021. Although she originally studied pharmaceutical manufacturing, she now finds herself in a phase of the process where the drug has already been developed and is heading into the testing phase. She sees the advantage of her background in the fact that during her studies, she had a dedicated course focused specifically on clinical trials – how they work, what happens during them, and this gave her the theoretical knowledge that made her start as a clinical study coordinator much easier. An interesting aspect of her education is that when she starts working on a new clinical trial, her background allows her to understand why a particular drug formulation was chosen. For example, why it's a tablet or perhaps drops. She considers well-trained newcomers and a well-prepared study to be the key successes of her work. She is also proud of the relationships she has built with doctors and colleagues. The greatest sense of fulfilment comes when company newcomers aren’t afraid to reach out to her when they don’t know something or are facing a problem. “I think it’s important that new team members know someone has their back. Someone they can call when they’re unsure, who will tell them it’s normal not to know everything at the very beginning.” Outside of work, Adéla is interested in fashion. She studies trends, and whenever possible, she enjoys attending fashion shows as a spectator. She adds with a smile that even when she’s just out walking her dog, her outfit is always perfectly put together down to the last detail. #CRC #CRCteam #ClinicalResearch #ClinicalResearchCenter

She lived in Berlin for 7 years, which allowed her to gain detailed insight into how clinical trials are conducted in Western Europe. This led her to the idea of founding CRC, which focuses on connecting doctors with pharmaceutical companies, coordinating clinical trials, and, last but not least, communicating with and coordinating patients participating in the trials. The person in question is the founder, Lucie Špatenková . Teambuilding & Training Success in Žďár nad Sázavou This past weekend, our teams from the Czech Republic and Slovakia came together for an inspiring and productive event focused on clinical study coordination in the Clinical Research Center model. Held on 27-28 September in the beautiful surroundings of Žďár nad Sázavou, we combined learning with fun team-building activities! With our team geographically spread across both countries, this event allowed us to deepen our personal connections and grow as a cohesive unit. From informative sessions to friendly competitions, we all left feeling more united and motivated for the future ahead. In September, our coordinators attended the 7th National Meeting of Study Nurses and Clinical Trial Coordinators in Brno. The meeting covered topics such as: ● What challenges clinical trials are facing in the Czech Republic in 2024. ● How coordinators can maintain their mental well-being at work. ● And what is new in the field of clinical disciplines. But to make it less general, below you can read about the 6 key takeaways we, as CRCs, brought back from the two-day event. 1. How does the field of clinical studies in the Czech Republic and Slovakia compare to the rest of Europe and the world in numbers. 2. How some centers (especially hospital ones) have set up collaboration in a team and what we can take from this to our model of collaboration with doctors. 3. How to work with stress, how to prevent some stressful situations in practice. 4. How to more effectively deepen cooperation with a doctor. 5. What can be improved before the center is activated. 6. We believe home visits reduce the burden that participation in clinical trials places on patients.
