📢 NEWS: GlycoMimetics has announced an agreement to acquire Crescent Biopharma and advance Crescent’s portfolio of novel biologics precision engineered to improve outcomes for patients with solid tumors — delivering superior efficacy to the current gold standard. Upon completion of the merger, the unified company will operate as Crescent, progressing lead assets CR-001, a cooperative PD-1 x VEGF bispecific antibody and CR-002, an antibody-drug conjugate for an undisclosed target with a topoisomerase inhibitor payload that may offer best-in-class efficacy. With a concurrent private financing of approximately $200 million led by Fairmount Funds Management LLC , Venrock , BVF PARTNERS, L.P , and a large investment management firm, Crescent expects to fund operations through 2027.
