Hard to believe it’s been a week already since my short, but excellent trip to Australia. A big thank you to the organisers of the International Peptide Symposium and the Australian Peptide Conference for the invitation to present research from the Tavassoli lab (University of Southampton) and Curve Therapeutics in Brisbane last week.

I really enjoyed reconnecting with peptide colleagues from around the world and hearing about all the latest exciting research in the peptide field. It was a fantastic touch by the organisers to give us the opportunity to meet the local wildlife during a conference lunch break.

Also, I am a Partner Investigator at the Centre of Excellence for Innovations in Peptide and Protein Science (CIPPS), and really enjoyed the opportunity to reconnect with the CIPPS team, and to hear about all the excellent research arising from CIPPS. 

All in all, a fantastic few days that have left their mark: I've been singing Men at Work's Down Under since my return...
