The company holds interests in the Marampa project that includes one mining license covering an area of 97.40 square kilometers and one exploration license covering an area of 145.86 square kilometers located in West Africa; the Kukuna project, which includes one mining license covering an area of 68 square kilometers located in the northwest of Sierra Leone; the Wee MacGregor project that includes 4 mining leases located in Queensland; and the Yalardy project comprising 297 graticular blocks covering an area of 914.5 square kilometers located in the Carnarvon Basin, Western Australia. It also holds interest in the Nickol River Gold Project located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia; and option to acquire 100% interest in the Cameroon Project. The company was formerly known as Cape Lambert Resources Limited and changed its name to Cyclone Metals Limited in October 2020. The MoU outlines a two-phased investment strategy for the the path for Vale to take a controlling stake in a significant high-grade iron ore venture, strategic for Canada, that will foster the push for global lower carbon footprint steelmaking. Cyclone Metals Ltd ( CLE.AX ) is pleased to announce that its Project Iron Bear delivered a significant milestone: it successfully completed a pilot pellet production run and produced world class direct reduction pellets, a key feed for the low carbon footprint steel production. Paul Berend, CEO of Cyclone Metals, confirmed: "We have successfully produced direct reduction pellets. This is a major milestone for the Iron Bear project. Our DR pellets demonstrated excellent physical and metallisation properties, and we are on track to start shipping bulk samples to potential off take Clients as early as Q2 2025. Paul Berend, CEO of Cyclone Metals, commented: "I am pleased to report that we have started small scale production of DR pellets which are critical for green steel production and are projected to be in very high demand in the next couple of years as numerous direct reduction steel plants are being built in the Middle East, the USA, and Canada. The company completed a placement of $1.87 million and is proposing to complete an underwritten Right Offer to raise a further $5.39 million. RM Corporate Finance has been appointed as the Lead Manager for the placement and the Rights Offer. Funds will be applied to progress the Iron Bear project, working capital and retirement of debt. The Company is pleased to welcome experienced directors, Mr David Sanders and Mr Luke Martino to join the Board of the Company as non-executive directors, bringing their significant corporate governance and commercial expertise in the natural resources sector.
