Vietnam Investments Groups

The majority of our DEI Council members flew in earlier this month to continue efforts to create an inclusive culture for all who touch DQ. 

Allyship was a primary focus, as was the continued pursuit of our diversity, equity and inclusion goals. Ample time was left to network, have fun, and brainstorm the Council’s focus for 2025.

Earlier this week, DQ employees donated backpacks and school supplies to help support our friends at Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities as they help kids prepare for a successful return to school this fall with their annual Back to School Bash. We even provided DILLY Bars for everyone to enjoy at the event. A huge thank you to all our employees who donated and helped with this wonderful event.

Miracle Treat Day in Canada is Thursday, Aug. 8. Today, participating DQ restaurants in Canada will donate net proceeds for each BLIZZARD Treat sold to bring health and hope to kids at local children’s hospital foundations.

We celebrated our DQ employees in Minnesota last week at Valleyfair Amusement Park in Shakopee, Minnesota. We rode rollercoasters, soaked up the sun, and enjoyed a BBQ with our colleagues and families.

Let’s meet our next 2023 DQ Red Spoon Award winner. As a reminder, DQ Red Spoon Awards are given to employees who provide outstanding service, deliver high-quality products, and create positive memories for all who touch DQ. Today, we recognize Nicholas Braun, Proteins Manager. 

What is your role and what are your responsibilities? I am the Proteins Manager, which means I oversee food safety, quality, and regulation of our protein-based products. 

What do you like most about your job and why? I love the diversity of products that I work with and the opportunity to see how the global team works together behind the scenes. 

What does winning this award mean to you? Winning this award is meaningful to me because I truly enjoy what I do and it reminds me to take a moment and reflect on the journey. 

What do you enjoy doing when you're not at work? My favorite thing to do outside of work is fishing with my kids. Every memory is a keeper!

Which cake do you most want to order?

Franchisee Advisory Council meetings are critical to the DQ business. Last week, our Franchisee Advisory Councils in the U.S. and Canada met with DQ team members in Minneapolis to discuss business strategy, marketing, operations and more.
 
It takes a village to prepare for these meetings from council members, franchise owners, corporate presenters, meetings planners, to our R&D team who conducts tastings of products in development. R&D makes all of the product in our DQ test kitchen and, while the flavors are top secret, you can see fun was had by all.
