🌟 SAF Lifts Off at Diamond Green Diesel! 🌟

Today, we announced a significant milestone for our Diamond Green Diesel (DGD) joint venture: a new sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) contract, set to launch in the fourth quarter of 2024!🛫

Our DGD plant in Port Arthur, Texas, will soon be capable of upgrading up to 50% of its 470 million gallon annual production capacity into SAF. With this advancement, DGD is poised to become one of the largest SAF manufacturers in the world.🌍

Our Director - Technology, and Chairman of EFPRA Sustainability Committee, Richard van Lijssel, is unparalleled in articulating the interconnection between the bioeconomy and overall circular economy, as demonstrated at this year's European Fat Processors and Renderers Association's Congress. Today, we announced plans to reduce emissions from our wastewater treatment plants at some of our rendering facilities by capturing biogas and converting it to renewable natural gas in partnership with GreenGasUSA.

“We’re confident that renewable diesel interest and markets remain strong," said Suann Guthrie, SVP of Investor Relations, Sustainability and Global Communications at this week’s #TDCowenSustainability Conference. “Through our 50/50 joint venture Diamond Green Diesel, we’re selling RD into various U.S. states, including states without low-carbon programs like New York; and DGD has also always been active in export markets, with Canada continuing to be a key market for RD.”
