Honoring Evelyne Jones It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Evelyne Jones, beloved matriarch of the Jones family, Evelyne passed away on September 17 at the remarkable age of 107. Evelyne married her high school sweetheart, Marlin Jones, in 1936. Together, they purchased what was then known as the Dawn Donut Company in 1955, marking the start of their family's deep commitment to the company's growth and success. “My grandmother, Evelyne, was an extraordinary woman whose love, wisdom, and dedication shaped our family, and provided a strong foundation of values for Dawn,” said Dawn Chief Executive Officer, Carrie Jones-Barber. “She was a beacon of strength and grace, always leading with kindness. As we grieve her passing, we also celebrate her remarkable life and the legacy she leaves behind.
