The DOWNTOWN EVANSVILLE - Economic Improvement District (EID) was formed by property owners in the core of Downtown Evansville in late 2017. The EID provides services and benefits to its property owners beyond those the City provides, which are funded by an annual assessment on member properties. Currently the EID works to create a cleaner, safer and more verdant Downtown Evansville; to share the story of Downtown Evansville through branding, events and marketing efforts; and, advocates for additional development and amenities which will benefit member property owners.

Cheers for Piper Ethridge, a first grade student at Resurrection School who donated $250 to the Downtown-based nonprofit Keep Evansville Beautiful (KEB). KEB is the clean & beautification contractor for the DOWNTOWN EVANSVILLE – Economic Improvement District (EID). In 2021, the EID funded the planting of 250 perennials, 600 annuals, and collected 6,756 bags of litter within the central business district through our partnership with KEB.

The Downtown Evansville Economic Improvement District (EID) is a property owners' organization that aims to build a more active and inclusive downtown area. They enhance resident, consumer, investor, worker, and visitor experiences in Downtown Evansville. Their vision is to be the most vibrant urban district in the region, offering opportunities to live, work, learn, dine, invest, and play. The EID focuses on areas such as clean, safe, and beautification, events and marketing, and business and developer recruitment.
