Pleased to see our work in supporting women in the workforce in non-traditional areas was highlighted recently. The story described our all-women team initiative at one of our formulation units at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. The all-women team was trained as part of our Self-Managed Team (SMT) initiative. A concept pioneered by us over two decades ago, SMT involves recruiting and skilling youth with 10+2 qualifications to create employability for youth from rural areas closest to our sites. The all-women team is an initiative aimed towards the empowerment and progress of women in a manufacturing sector such as pharmaceuticals. The article notes, “Apart from excelling at established roles, becoming adept at secondary packing operations, the [all-women team at Dr. Reddy's] also embarked on new initiatives such as taking charge of the sachet packing line of our other formulation unit in Baddi. What began as a single line managed entirely by women was soon expanded with the addition of a second line. The pharmaceutical company has also introduced all-women night shift teams, providing them with transportation facilities, dedicated all-women HR support teams, and attendants to accompany them”.

We are pleased to announce the launch of our drug-free non-invasive migraine management device Nerivio® in the UK. In recent months, we have launched Nerivio® in India, Germany, South Africa and Spain. Nerivio® is the first USFDA-cleared and CE marked portable Remote Electrical Neuromodulation (REN) technology for the prevention and/or treatment of acute migraine (with or without aura) in adults and adolescents (≥ 12 years). It is placed on the upper arm and controlled by a mobile app, making it a convenient and portable device.

Our Safety, Health, Environment and Sustainability (SHE&S) team continues to extend #WorldEnvironmentDay into a month of awareness activities. In line with our theme for last week, "Water Efficiency & Management," our colleagues participated in activities such as Tool Box Talks on shop floors on water conservation and in trainings given by our Water Ambassadors. 70 Water Ambassador training sessions have been conducted across our sites and they in turn spread awareness to over 1,600 people within the organisation. We also conducted a webinar on "Navigating RO Systems for Environmental Excellence by Dupont" and 48 Gemba walks, where critical issues and leaks were identified and closed. Our colleagues also participated in giving their unique ideas for water conservation. Over 350 people participated in a quiz on water conservation and environmental compliance across sites. Students from Samskriti Global School-Vizag were trained on water and waste management by our colleagues in Visakhapatnam, India.
