I've been considering adding the equivalent of a #dryeye evaluation before I refer any patients for refractive or cataract surgery. This would include: -Meibography -Tear meniscus height -MMP-9 testing -Osmolarity -Lactoferrin testing -Ig(E) testing -Meibomian gland secretion score So it would look like this: The patient is here for comprehensive/annual exam ➡ Interested in Sx or needs cataract Sx ➡ RTO for dry eye eval ➡ Perform dry eye eval ➡ Treat dry eye ➡ Refer for Sx Thoughts?
